A review from our pal at The New Rifleman who did this for the old site many years ago. My wife has a new gun. She wanted something metal. She wanted something that would be fun to shoot. She wanted something that would be interesting. We hunted interesting down, watched some Cowboy Bebop, and hoppedContinue reading “The Jericho 941: High Quality, With Quirks”

Frank Proctor Way of the Gun Sling
In looking for a sling for my Colt 733 clone I wanted something that had both modern two point adjustability and an appearance that didn’t look out of place on a quasi retro AR. I hadn’t had much luck finding anything that really suited me until I stumbled across the Way of the Gun slingContinue reading “Frank Proctor Way of the Gun Sling”

You can see it is identical to the wooden marksman stock I talked a little about yesterday.Continue reading “Winchester Model 70 Heavy Varmint”
OAF Nation Button Up Review
Recently I saw and ad for one of OAF Nation’s patterned button ups. Naturally I got the P42/Frogskin one. I opted for the tan as a compliment to the Otte Gear green one I got recently. Apparently they are made on demand as it took a month or more to receive mine. The overall qualityContinue reading “OAF Nation Button Up Review”

Spilborghs Custom Colt
pistol_purview 1967 Colt 1911 by Santa Barbara gunsmith John Spilborghs. Spilborghs immigrated to the US from Belgium in 1967. He was an accomplished machinist and crafted some of the finest custom 1911s in the late 70s and 80s. It seems like there was an awful lot of talent in Southern California in those years. Kings,Continue reading “Spilborghs Custom Colt”
