David Ayer has made some pretty sweet flicks in my opinion. His crowning achievement being Fury. He has a real niche talent for gritty real-world crime films with shady cops. The best of these is our subject today. The 2008 effort Street Kings, starring Keanu Reeves. Reeves plays Tom Ludlow, a shady slob and heroContinue reading “STREET KINGS”

THE PALE BLUE EYE Review
From my friend Phil It was Saturday evening and there was nothing on regular TV to watch, so I had the choice of Glass Onion or The Pale Blue Eye. I wanted a well-crafted murder mystery, with an interesting story, well-directed, and made by a competent movie director, so of course, I put up TheContinue reading “THE PALE BLUE EYE Review”
WAY OF THE GUN
Way back in the year 2000 a little movie came out called Way Of The Gun that didn’t do that great at the box office. That was a shame. It’s since become something of a cult film and it’s pretty damn good. Way of The Gun is a neo-western mixed with an action/crime thriller. Jesus,Continue reading “WAY OF THE GUN”
The Farmer 1977
The Farmer is a film that was, for a long time, considered a “lost movie”. Having had a small theatrical release and a couple of airings on cable, it then seemed to disappear. Now is a good time to rediscover it. The Farmer is a pure B movie, grindhouse-style action movie from the late 70sContinue reading “The Farmer 1977”
LIVESTREAM: Christmas Movies 100 PM EST
Yeah, it’s that time of year again when a lot of us celebrate Jesus’ birthday. So on Sunday’s Livestream, the usual suspects will be discussing Christmas films. The Perfect Sunday Would there be anything better than spending the day setting up the Christmas decorations, decorating the tree, and then settling down with the kids inContinue reading “LIVESTREAM: Christmas Movies 100 PM EST”
Piranha 3D
By Stark Piranha 3D is just magnificent. It really is. It’s magnificent because it knows exactly what it is and never sets out to be anything different. It just opens up and invites you to share the joke with it, while giggling maniacally right next to you on the couch and offering you up endlessContinue reading “Piranha 3D”
JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 Trailer
By Stark Here it is! They really, really should have left that dog alone. When the franchise has made nearly $600 million at the box-office alone, and is a noted good performer in other channels, on combined budgets of under $150 million, these movies are like the gift that keeps on giving for Lionsgate. StahelskiContinue reading “JOHN WICK: CHAPTER 4 Trailer”
Iceman 2017
Way back in 1991, it was a pretty big deal when a frozen and preserved corpse was discovered in the Alps. It was in such good condition that they could analyze his blood. Years passed, and science (trust the science!) found blood samples of four other people on his weapons and clothes. They also discoveredContinue reading “Iceman 2017”
ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT 2022
All Quiet On The Western Front is the newest remake to hit the theaters, or in this case, Netfix. I think this is the third cinematic version by my count. Based on a book written by a German veteran of the Great War, it follows the depressing and bleak day to day life of aContinue reading “ALL QUIET ON THE WESTERN FRONT 2022”
